March 10, 2021 4:39 pm“Love the work you do, Do the work You love”- Dr Sulochana -Founder WIM
It was a proud moment for female employees of Lanka IOC when founder and Chairperson of Women in Management, Dr. Sulochana Segera interacted with them recently.
While addressing, she emphasized that every woman must endeavour to transform their inner strength into success as the designation retires, but not the personality or the image.
She advised participants to never regret for the disappointments, rather turn them into opportunities which will direct them for the success.
Success is not a magic, not a gift from almighty God, everyone has to explore it.
While interacting, she was remembering one incident of her childhood, when her father once told her, if you are not happy, do not be into it, I couldn’t understand the meaning of it, but later when my life was so challenging, I realize what he meant.
She further emphasized on value of learning at every stage of life and requested to generate thirst for reading always as learning will drive everyone to achieve further heights. If you can target for the high goal, dream for the best position then only you can achieve it.
Same way, Happiness doesn’t come to us automatically, it has to be explored and imbibed in our personality.
The session of Dr. Sulochana was very motivational and interactive.
She admired that the women leadership is essential and crucial towards corporate success and further she elaborated that “Wherever women are, whatever they do, they can make success and best in that scenario, but at the same time woman must understand the strength hidden inside them and they should work on the same.
Career goals and personal life goals are interconnected and never can be treated separately; woman should always be self-driven with positive vision”.
The employees were completely engaged during the session and enriched their knowledge that shall go a long way in excelling their individual professional and personal life.
